I just finished a project yesterday using Sas2. You can get it Joann Fabrics.
Wanted to also let you know how I successful after trying several times and failing. I used the regular blade set at 6 in my expression machine with SPEED on 3 and pressure on Hi or Max. I ironed my fabric onto the SAS2 as directed. I took off the paper backing that was still on the webbing. Faced fabric web side down. Did not need to use flip button. After loading, I used the up/down arrow so there was fabric showing before the blade began to cut. Questions — let me know!!
One more thing I just remembered!! Adhere fabric to mat successfully by using a straight edge or spatula from mat instruments. I rubbed the spatula over the fabric firmly quite a few times so that the fabric stayed adhered without the tape.
That all made it work for me…
Hello, I am Completely a novice at this whole thing, and thanks to your video, I am going to attempt to try this using my cricut expressions in order to make a banner for my son’s t-ball team. I would like to make BIG letter for the banner…so I would need a ton of that Steam a Seam 2 for each letter, right?? How much would that cost? And its Blade 6, Pressure hi, and I want to make each letter 8″ (paper size)…do I need the painter’s tape? I am so nervous abou messing this up.

i am haivng so many problems with the fabric shredding i am so frustrated i want to send it back can someone please help me
just got my cricut saw tis video and was excited i bought every thing in the video
but i am having problems with the fabric keeps shredding what am i doing wrong i have the expressions
Was excited about cutting fabric because I do a lot of embroidery digitizing for applique & cutting the fabric pieces to make them fit is tedious. Made 3 cuts with best luck on the first. It went downhill. I cut the letter N from one of my computer fonts using the SCAL software. I think success depends on the complexity of the design and pure luck in getting your piece of fabric to stay stuck to the mat. Make sure when you cut a letter to flip it in your SCAL software. @ashpoe I used rayon for the cupcake top and had no problems with it shredding, the bottom was cotton and I cut it out by hand.
Oh my gosh!! THANK YOU so much!! I just tried to cut fabric with my Cricut and I about threw the machine at the wall!!! I tried putting card stock underneath the paper and it never occured to me that that wouldnt do anything to fix the shredding problem!!

This vehicle was very very helpful. Just like you did, I have tried every way that I knew possible to cut my fabric with the Cricut. I did not want to ruin my blade by using the fusible webbing. But know I can see how it works so well…many thanks to you!!!

thanks oh and it someone is having a real issue with shedding they can try the deep cut blade or if you have the markers you could just use your cricut to draw the out lines and out around it with scissors

OMG EVRY1!!! I Just found the COOLEST ZEBRA VINYL for cricut cutters. Just go to ebay and search cricut zebra vinyl. u gotta check it out its awesome. I cant find nething like it newhere.
